UMIB is represented at a meeting organized by the Francophone University Network
Prof. Ylber Januzaj, a member of the Steering Council at the University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini” (UMIB), attended a meeting of the Francophone University Network held in Bucharest, Romania. In addition to the UMIB, representatives of the University of Prishtina and the University of Gjakova were present at this meeting.
Representatives of Kosovar universities during their stay in Bucharest also met with the president of the Francophone University Network, Mohamed Ketata. They talked about deepening cooperation and the possibility of introducing a French language as an elective course in any of the Kosovar university programs.
Otherwise, the University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini” (UMIB) has joined the University of Francophone University at the end of last year, which includes universities, colleges and research institutes. Following the University of Prishtina, UMIB is the second university in the region that has joined this network, which counts 884 members from 111 different countries.
In addition to the network of universities, the Frankofonise Network also cooperates with state institutions and international organizations. Being a member of this network enables access to the global network of member institutions, academics and French researchers, then participating in projects among member institutions and participating in project preparation.
Also, members of this network established 50 years ago, benefit from tools and educational resources tailored to regional needs and contexts, promoting the use of information and communication technologies for teaching and research etc.
