Cooperation with the University of Ljubljana is deepening
Leaders of the University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletin” (UMIB) and those of the University of Ljubljana (UL) have agreed to deepen inter-university cooperation. This readiness was confirmed during a visit by UMIB Rector Alush Musaj to the University of Ljubljana, where he was received by Assistant Rector Maja Slovenc.
Rector Musaj, who was also accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Slovenia, Avni Kastrati, thanked the Assistant Rector, Maja Slovenc, for willingness for cooperation. He said that the good experience of cooperation between the UMIB Faculty of Geosciences and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering of UL is a very good basis for expanding and extending reports to other levels.
According to Rector Musaj, joint projects under the Erasmus + program are a great opportunity to facilitate the exchange of experiences between universities. “We are very pleased about the relations between our two universities and the readiness to intensify cooperation,” he said.
On the other hand, the Assistant Rector, Slovenc, expressed satisfaction with the progress of relations with UMIB. She pledged her commitment to increase co-operation to another level.
In this context, he mentioned concrete initiatives that will work for the better. “In the course of these activities we will invite Rector Musaj to the Rector’s Forum of Southeast Europe and the Western Balkans, where education, science and knowledge transfer are addressed,” she said.
She also outlined steps for cooperation in other areas, which benefit the academic staff, students and administration. “Exchanges of experience are in the best interest of both universities.”
During his stay in Slovenia, Rector Musaj also stayed at the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo, where he was received by the Ambassador, Avni Kastrati. Rector Musaj and Ambassador Kastrati praised the cooperation with Slovenian universities, given the tradition and quality they offer.
