BIRN Kosova organized the training on the topic “Fundamentals of journalism based on facts and media education” which was held at Va Piano Restaurant in Mitrovica on 14.11.2022. At the beginning of the meeting, U.D. also spoke. The Dean of the Faculty of Law, who thanked the organizer of this training, Mr. Kreshnik Gashi also encouraged everyone to this participate, which has the purpose of media advancement in terms of journalism, which must be based on facts. Kreshnik Gashi – Member of the Council of Written Media, correspondent of Reporters Without Borders for Kosovo, and managing editor of KALLXO.com has lectured in detail on the use of fact-checking techniques on topical issues, inter-ethnic relations, security, health, and social topics. Next, the issue of reporting against gender discrimination and the promotion of media education using traditional media and online media was addressed.

During this training, the students of the Faculty of Law expressed great interest in the issues discussed and expressed their desire to be part of these organizations in the future and to be direct participants in research and projects that will be organized by BIRN Kosovo.
