University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica (UIBM) will cooperate with the Chamber of Hospitality and Tourism of Kosovo to expand the joint academic activity and research, scientific and cultural activities.

The rector of UIBM, Prof. Dr. Alush Musaj, and the vice-rector for budget and finance, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Ajtene Avdullahi welcomed today the President of the Chamber of Hospitality and Tourism of the Republic of Kosovo Prof. Ass. Dr. Hysen Sogojeva, as well as the representative of businesses in the hospitality and tourism sector for the Mitrovica region, Mr. Naim Sylejmani. In this meeting, there was a discussion about the numerous possibilities of cooperation between the University and the business community in the hospitality and tourism sector.

To specify the areas of cooperation, Rector Musaj and the President of the Chamber, Professor Sogojeva, signed today at UIBM a memorandum of the cooperation between these two institutions.

The cooperation memorandum is aimed at the extension and expansion of joint activity, and exploring the joint project opportunities. In addition, the memorandum aims for mutual assistance in promoting common values, with special emphasis on the encouragement of initiatives that enable students to connect their theoretical knowledge with practice.

The two parties pledged to facilitate and support the cooperation of students with hospitality and tourism businesses that are members of the Chamber.
