The acting dean of the Faculty of Law of “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica (UIBM), prof. assoc. dr. Islam Qerimi, and the secretary of the Faculty of Law, MSc Avdyl Beqiri, hosted Dhurata Prokshi and Blerta Ibërdemaj from the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN) in a meeting with the aim of examining opportunities to deepen mutual cooperation in between the Faculty of Law and BIRN Kosova. The parties agreed that this cooperation will continue next month with the project that BIRN-Kosova will organize in Mitrovica, which is called “Writing evidence-based research”. A number of students of the Faculty of Law will also participate in this workshop. In the wake of further cooperation, the issue of practical participation of students in coordination with BIRN in the projects organized for research and mentoring of trials in the Courts of the Republic of Kosovo was also addressed, which was welcomed by the visitors of this meeting.
