In order to advance the position of students in sport, cultural creativity and critical thinking, a Cooperation Agreement was signed on Friday between Rector of Isa Boletini University in Mitrovica (UMIB), Alush Musaj and National Coordinator for Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti. The agreement aims to strengthen the intellectual, cultural and sports capacities of Kosovo students, as well as to promote mutual cooperation in areas of common interest of both parties.

National Coordinator for Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti, emphasized that the goal is for sport to be introduced into school programs, in this case even at universities. “We expect university leagues to be very strong and competitive with others,” he said.

Meanwhile, Rector Musaj expressed the satisfaction with the signed agreement that has to do with the students directly. “The Student Parliament has expressed full readiness to be part of this project. The good thing is that even physical infrastructure is improving and we expect full success in that direction, “he said, pledging support.

In the cooperation agreement between UMIB and the National Coordinator for Culture, Youth and Sports, obligations and duties are defined. The parties have agreed to exchange experiences and mutual support for youth, culture and sports projects, a joint arrangement of activities aimed at gathering international donations for projects promoting culture and sport.

There is also a common commitment on the progress and holding of sports competitions and those in cultural creativity and critical thinking, then interventions in sports infrastructure by offering cooperation in the development of competitions etc.

Within this agreement, it is planned to create conditions and opportunities for students for the development of sports, including volleyball, basketball, futsal, chess, etc.
