Dean of the Faculty of Geosciences, prof. dr. Naser Peci, participated in the “17th International Mineral Processing Symposium IPMS 2022”, which was held on December 15-17, 2022 in Istanbul, Turkey (www.imps2022.org). The dean was invited by the organizers as a keynote speaker in plenary sessions.

At the same time, the “10th International Mining, Tunneling, Machinery Equipment and Heavy Duty Vehicles Fair” was held (www.madenturkiyefuari.com). Equipment for the mining sector from prestigious companies from Turkey and the world are presented at this fair.

During this time, Dean Peci also held meetings regarding the holding of the XIX Balkan Mineral Processing Congress – BMPCXIX (XIX Balkan Mineral Processing Congress) which will be held in Kosovo in the organization of “Isa Boletini” University of Mitrovica, in May of the year 2023. Prof. Dr. participated in the meeting related to the XIX BMPC Congress. Güven ONAL (President of BMPC int. Scientific Committee), and the representatives from Albania and Kosovo in the Scientific Committee of BMPC: Prod Dr. Genc Demi and Dr. Sc. Habib Basholli. The meeting discussed the concrete steps of organizing the XIX BMPC Congress in Kosovo.

Also during this time Dean Peci held other meetings with experts in the field of mineral processing from world universities such as James L. HENDRIX – United States of America and dr. Cyrill O’Connor from South Africa. The experts supported the holding of the XIX BMPC Congress in Kosovo and are happy to cooperate and contribute to this.
