The Faculty of Mechanical and Computer Engineering (FMIK) will cooperate with the Regional Water Company “Mitrovica” (KRU) with the aim of professional development of students. In order to determine the areas of cooperation, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by the dean of FIMK, prof.asoc.dr. Faton Merovci and Chief Executive of KRU, Bashkim Kurti.

The memorandum is based on the common interests of FMIK and KRU “Mitrovica”, which aim to advance and raise professional achievements in higher education, scientific, educational and academic cooperation between institutions, opening new opportunities for cooperation for students, academic and administrative staff. Of special importance in the framework of this cooperation agreement is the creation of opportunities for teachers and students, who will be recruited in the premises of KRU for the realization of professional practice work.

The responsibilities of the parties are also defined in the signed Memorandum. In this context, among other things, KRU undertakes to create working conditions for students, who are obliged to stay in KRU facilities for the working hours of professional practice which are defined in the study program . On the other hand, FIMK will undertake to respect the principle of confidentiality related to this agreement, as well as the independence of the Regional Water Company – “Mitrovica”.

At the end of the project, the presentation of the work and the public defense (in the premises of the faculty) of the practical work by the students will be carried out.
