Fruitful cooperation of FTU with the Association of Dairy Industry of Kosovo
The cooperation of the Faculty of Food Technology with the Association of the Dairy Industry of Kosovo (SHIQK) is proving more and more successful. From the regular meetings held between the Dean of FTU, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Milaim Sadiku and the President of SHIQK, Mr. Gani Durmishaj, was also discussed about the professional level of the candidates who have completed their studies at FTU, namely the professionalism they show in the dairies where they are employed. In this context, study programs as a basis for professional preparation were also discussed. From these meetings, it was the request of SHIQK that the courses “Milk Processing Technology” at the Bachelor’s level and “Chemistry and Technology of Milk and its Products” at the Master’s level, which were optional subjects, become compulsory subjects. .
The request of SHIQK was taken very seriously at FTU, the request was reviewed by the Studies Committee and was also approved by the Faculty Council. These courses now have the status of compulsory courses that, taking into account the laboratory equipment and the line for the production of dairy products available at FTU, enable the student to be well prepared for the dairy industry.
