Meeting of the Advisory Body of the Faculty of Geosciences
On 08.09.2021, the Faculty of Geosciences held a meeting of the Advisory Body of the Faculty of Geosciences.
The attendees reiterated the importance of cooperation between higher education – the University, respectively the faculty, and the industry/institutions related to the field of Geosciences, respectively the mining sector in Kosovo. Each of the attendees focused on the experiences of the possibility of cooperation from the coming institution/enterprise.
In this meeting, the Chairman of the Advisory Body of the FGJ, Shefik Imeri – manager at the Golesh Magnesite Mine and Industry, was appointed. The boss has a great experience in industrial management, having been part of NewCoFerroniceli in Drenas for many years and now currently manager of the Golesh Magnesite Mine and Industry. The chief is also active in scientific works and projects different from the lamia he covers.
Shefik Imeri thanked the members of the TK of FGJ for the trust given, emphasizing that teamwork is what advances, therefore they will work together with the faculty to achieve the mission of cooperation between the Faculty of Geosciences and the Advisory Body. He also emphasized that such cooperation helps in the advancement of science and the development of industry, helps the faculty in increasing practical work for research and students, enables the involvement of faculty staff and students in projects.
