The rector of the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica, prof.dr. Alush Musaj, accompanied by associates has participated in the ceremony organized for the reception of first year students. Students enrolled in the academic year 2020/21 were received in groups according to the faculties throughout the day, in the Grand Amphitheater, where the deans and leaders of the Student Councils were also present.

Rector Musaj wished success to all students who have become part of UMIB. “This is an important moment for your future, it is a moment when you start a new journey that will definitely transform their lives.”

According to him, UMIB, in addition to preparing for a specific profession, will also prepare them with skills and value for the labor market. “UMIB offers you all professional and scientific capacities through the engagement of academic staff, offers for you the best university campus in the country”, stressed Musaj.

In the academic year 2020/21 in UMIB in the first term have applied 987 candidates, while 558 were accepted. The second deadline for the unfilled countries is expected to open soon.

Students of other years have started lectures on October 1 and everything went well, despite the circumstances. Sufficient space in UMIB has enabled lectures to take place in facilities, respecting the conditions for protection from Covid-19.
