On April 14, 2022, a lecture and practical lesson in the field of Surface Utilization Technology and Mining Safety was held at KEK – Coal Production Division. The students had the opportunity to gain knowledge, from the field of development, design, but also the challenges along the surface exploitation as well as the concept of mining safety in this mine. The lecture was conducted by Mr. Fatmir Gërguri (mining advisor), together with Mr. Zymer Morian (Advisor/machinery), Bekim Januzi (Director for technology) and Nijazi Sadiku (KPE-DE DPQ). In addition, there was also a field visit to the Southwestern Sibovc mine, where we were closely informed about the equipment, processes and main elements of surface exploitation. In this visit, the students were accompanied by prof. Kemajl Zeqiri, and ass. Ujmir Uka.
