At the initiative of Faculty of Law student Adis Zeqiri and youth coordinator Mehmet Salihu, a roundtable discussion was organized at the Faculty of Law on an important topic for the future of the rule of law: “Law and the Role of Youth in Building the Rule of Law State.”

In this roundtable discussion, in addition to the students from the Faculty of Law, experts in the field also participated. The event was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Islam Qerimi, who congratulated them for their joint initiative in organizing this event. In his speech, Dean Qerimi emphasized the importance of the rule of law as one of the main pillars of any modern society that aims to protect human rights, individual freedoms, and equality before the law. He also highlighted that “youth are the future of any society and have the opportunity, and above all the responsibility, to contribute to the construction of a just state.” According to him, the engagement of young people in political and social processes is essential for a just and democratic society. Citizen activism and raising awareness about human rights are crucial steps that the youth must take to ensure an equal and just society.

After the Dean’s speech, the floor was given to youth coordinator Mehmet Salihu, who spoke about the importance of youth activism in Kosovar society. He emphasized that the engagement of young people is yielding visible results in advancing the rule of law and legal systems.

Attorney Drinor Koci also shared his thoughts and experiences on the role of young people in shaping a just and lawful state.

The event was moderated by student Adis Zeqiri, who led the discussions and made the event even more special and fruitful for the attendees. During the roundtable, an in-depth debate took place regarding the commitments and role of students and youth in realizing the rule of law and justice in the Republic of Kosovo.

Ultimately, the conclusion of the roundtable was extremely important, as it was unanimously emphasized that empowering the younger generation and its role in advancing the legal order and the rule of law is essential for the further development of Kosovo. This student activity contributes to the creation of a more just and democratic society and represents an important step toward building a rule-of-law state.

In the end, for the participants of this roundtable, Dean Qerimi awarded certificates of participation, recognizing them for their commitment and contribution to this important event.
