Yesterday, a significant event took place at the Faculty of Law of the University of “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica, where the Dean of this faculty, Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi, along with the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Projects of UIBM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Edita Bekteshi, and the Vice-Dean for International Relations and Quality at the Faculty of Law, Assist. Prof. Dr. Arbnor Ajeti, welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Faculty of Law at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece. The delegation was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Law of this university, Prof. Dr. Panayotis Glavinis.

he meeting between the two parties was held in a friendly and warm atmosphere, highlighting the importance of international cooperation in the legal fields. During this meeting, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding, which includes a range of opportunities and commitments to deepen academic and professional collaboration.

One of the most important points of this memorandum is the offer for students from the Faculty of Law at the University of “Isa Boletini” to pursue master’s level studies free of charge at the Faculty of Law of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki. This opportunity represents an extraordinary chance for students from the Faculty of Law at UIBM, as they will be able to benefit from the knowledge and experience of this internationally recognized institution. However, an important condition of this offer is that after graduation, students will return to Kosovo and apply the knowledge and skills they have gained in this program to contribute to the development of the justice sector and society in Kosovo.

At the conclusion of this meeting, Dean Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi expressed his gratitude to Dean Prof. Dr. Panayotis Glavinis and the entire management team of the Faculty of Law at Aristotle University for their commitment and willingness to develop this fruitful collaboration. He also conveyed his appreciation for the symbolic gift – the decoration and emblem of Aristotle University – which was presented as a sign of the beginning of a strong and lasting academic relationship.

This collaboration between two renowned universities marks an important step towards strengthening international ties and creating new opportunities for students, as well as further advancing education and scientific research in the field of law.
