The professor of the Faculty of Law at UIBM, now acting dean, Islam Qerimi during the year 2022 has published with co-authors (2 as first author and one as the corresponding author) three scientific papers in international journals, which are indexed in the SCOPUS impact factor platform.

It is known that the criteria in higher education are increasing. Holders of Bachelor’s and Master’s programs from October last year must have their scientific publications indexed in the two prestigious rankings “Scopus” and “Web of Science”. And this was determined through the Administrative Instruction for Accreditation (UAA). UAA obliges holders of bachelor’s programs to have at least one indexed scientific publication from the field of the program, while at the master’s level they must have at least 2 papers as first author or correspondent. Therefore, public and private universities or their departments are at risk of non-accreditation for this reason.

Such publications were requested by our authors in order to improve transparency and scientific contribution not only within the institution where they work but also for all science in Kosovo. Therefore, such publication on the impact factor platforms Web of Science and SCOPUS will increase the advancement (visibility) of Kosovo in science and will bring benefit to the country.
