
The Management of the Faculty of Law organized a meeting with ALUMNI.
On December 30, 2024, a meeting with the ALUMNI of the Faculty of Law was held, attended by former students of the faculty, representatives of the ALUMNI, and the management staff of the Faculty of Law. The meeting had a rich agenda with in-depth discussions on improving the curriculum and advancing the faculty’s programs, with a particular focus on the need for broader practical preparation for students.
The Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Qerimi and Prof. Ass. Dr. Arbnor Ajeti, welcomed all the participants and explained the importance of the meeting, which aimed to exchange ideas and suggestions on improving the academic program and strengthening the ties between the faculty and the ALUMNI.
The former students of the faculty, as well as the ALUMNI representatives, shared their professional experiences, emphasizing the significance of ALUMNI activities in supporting and assisting new students at the Faculty. They expressed the benefits they had gained from the academic program and its impact on their professional careers, highlighting the need for further connections between the faculty and the justice institutions of Kosovo.
A key part of the discussions focused on the opportunities and challenges faced by the alumni before and after graduation. They called for an increase in practical hours, particularly through legal clinics, for the core subjects of the faculty, stressing that this would help students integrate more easily into the job market.
The alumni suggested greater efforts to provide more practical opportunities during studies. They emphasized the importance of internships and close cooperation with legal institutions, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in the field of jurisprudence. They also positively evaluated the successful implementation of the Memorandum of Cooperation, which has provided opportunities for students to participate in court work to resolve various legal cases.
During this section, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussions with the ALUMNI and management staff on the latest developments in the field of law, as well as the challenges and opportunities in the job market.
The Dean and Vice Dean Qerimi concluded the meeting by emphasizing the importance of maintaining strong ties with the ALUMNI and calling for such meetings to be organized more frequently, to exchange ideas and advance the Faculty’s program. They committed to implementing the suggestions and ensuring that the Faculty continues to meet the demands and needs of students in harmony with the job market.
