Professor of the Faculty of Geosciences at “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica (UIBM), prof. ass. dr. Gzim Ibishi has started his post-doctoral studies at Bülent Ecevit University, in Zonguldak, Turkey. Professor Ibishi, who lectures in the Department of Minerals, has chosen a specific field of “Underground Design and Exploitation”.
He will carry out the research within the project “Underground rock excavation support design for static and dynamic loading conditions in different rock masses” under the leadership of Professor Melih Geniş, a well-known expert in the field of applied geomechanics and underground spaces. Within the Post-doctorate project, field work, laboratory work and the application of the most advanced software of the relevant field for modeling and simulation will be carried out.
The studies are funded by the Turkiye Burslari Program, this program is designed to encourage international researchers and academics to collaborate with Turkish academics at Turkey’s most prestigious universities. Also, “Isa Boletini” Mitrovica University has supported Professor Ibishi during his five-month stay in Turkey.
