On the “International Day of People with Disabilities”, the Rector of the University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini”, Alush Musaj, met with the representative of the NGO “Little People of Kosovo” Mr. Hiljmnijeta Apuk, laureate of the prestigious United Nations human rights award.

Rector Musaj explained the standards that the UMIB university campus meets in facilitating the access of people with disabilities. There are no barriers for people with disabilities on the new university campus, there are special wheelchair platforms, platforms for faculty and rectorate amenities, special toilets, elevator and reserved parking.

The two parties agreed that the University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini” with the new university campus is one of the few universities in Kosovo that meets the conditions for people with disabilities.

Rector Musaj said that in the near future, the student dormitory right now under construction, will have rooms that meet all living conditions for students with special needs.
