At “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica (UIBM) a discussion table was held on Monday on the topic: “Cooperation of stakeholders from the local and central level in addressing employment needs”. At this table organized by the Directorate for Economy, Development and Tourism of the Municipality of Mitrovica and the Faculty of Economics at UIBM, in addition to the municipal leaders and those from UIBM, there were also representatives from local and international organizations, representatives of businesses, etc.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Mitrovica, Bedri Hamza, emphasized the importance of the coordination of the interested parties regarding employment needs. He said that there is a need for cadres in technical fields, as the labor market is open and offers great opportunities for them.

Whereas, the vice-rector, prof. dr. Behxhet Shala said that UIBM is open to stakeholders, including institutions and business, in order to adapt the programs to the labor market. In this context, he mentioned the professional bodies that have been opened within UIBM and academic units separately, where representatives from academic life, institutions and business are involved.

In the second part of the table, discussions were continued by a panel consisting of: Elvis Feka, director for Economy, Development and Tourism in the Municipality of Mitrovica, prof.ass.dr. Filloreta Demiri, vice dean of the Faculty of Economics, Vjosa Mullatahiri from GIZ Kosova, Diedon Kica from InstaBuilt and Shqipe Kurti from Caritas Kosova. Other participants also became part of the discussion.
