The sculpture “Low – High” was discovered on the university campus
In a ceremony organized on the campus of University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica (UIBM), the sculpture “Down – High” by the author, Butrint Morina, was unveiled on Tuesday. The sculpture, which has been chosen as a winner within the project “Visioning the industrial spaces of Mitrovica”, supported by the Swiss Office for Cooperation in Kosovo, was unveiled by the rector, prof. dr. Alush Musaj, the director of “7 Arte”, Lulzim Hoti, the author, Butrint Morina, as well as the president of the Student Parliament, Ariona Rushiti.
Rector Musaj thanked the director of “7 Arts”, Lulzim Hoti and the author of the sculpture, Butrint Morina, for the artistic work that has been placed on the university campus. “We are grateful for your work and commitment and appreciate this artistic work as the beginning of a new era of cooperation with civil society and the world of artists,” he said.
Meanwhile, Lulzim Hoti from “7 Arte”, thanked the rector for the cooperation and the opportunity created for creative ideas in the city of Mitrovica. “The sculpture is related to the industrial character of the city, the underground assets it has as well as the academic programs that cover the field of geosciences at UIBM”.
The author of the sculpture “Bottom – High”, Butrint Morina, expressed his happiness that his work of art has been placed in the university space. “It’s a pleasure to see a work of art in this beautiful space filled with students,” he said.
