In the context of awareness-raising activities in the promotion of the right to Access to Public Documents and the Protection of Personal Data, the Commissioner for Information and Privacy, Krenare Sogojeva – Dermanku, together with officials Egzon Sylaj and Arbërie Hyseni held a lecture on open with the students of the Faculty of Law of the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica.

This lecture was aimed at making students aware of the Law on Personal Data Protection and the Law on Access to Public Documents, as well as the mission, role and competences of the Agency in general. Nebi Halili, representative from the Kosovo Correctional Service, also participated in this meeting.

In this lecture, an interesting debate took place regarding the concrete activities so far undertaken by this Agency in cases of violation of the Law on Access to Public Documents and the Law on the Protection of Personal Data, as well as how it instructs on increasing the measures of safety. At the end, Dean Qerimi thanked the AIP for its willingness to hold this lecture and expressed mutual readiness for an even closer cooperation with the Faculty of Law.
