The XV international interdisciplinary conference: “Comparative studies in modern society, the Balkans in the European and global context” is in progress
On March 19 and 20, 2021, at “Ukshin Hoti” University in Prizren, the XV international interdisciplinary conference: “Comparative studies in modern society, the Balkans in the European and global context” and “IV international conference of the Balkan Sociological Forum ( BSF) with the theme “The Balkans – A comparative and integrative approach”. The conference is conducting the proceedings in a combined way, online and physically. In the conference there are a total of 223 presentations by 333 authors and co-authors from 23 countries.
The organizer of the conference is the Albanian Institute of Sociology / Albanian Sociological Association, “Ukshin Hoti” University in Prizren, “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica and many other partner institutions.
At the opening of the conference, Kseanela SOTIRIFSKI, Rector of Aleksander Moisiu University in Durrë, Behxhet Shala, Vice-Rector of “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica, Kaliopi NASKA, Rector of the Albanian University, Irena NIKAJ, President of the Albanian Sociological Association (ALBSA) gave speeches. , Ismajl BAFTIJARI, Director of the Institute for Science and Technology (INSI), Agri SOKOLI, Deputy Director of the Institute of Political and Social Studies (IPSS), South Korea, Ali PAJAZITI, South-Eastern University, North Macedonia, Dhimitri BELLO – Rector, Fan S. Noli University of Korça – Albania, Geron KAMBERI – Executive Director of the Center for School Leadership (CSL), Leke SOKOLI – General Director of the Albanian Institute of Sociology (AIS) Besim GOLLOPENI, University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini ”, Balkan Sociological Forum and moderator of the conference.
Also, within the framework of the international scientific conference, the elections of the Balkan Sociological Forum took place, where, among other things, the President was elected from Kosovo, Prof. Besim Gollopeni, sociologist, vice. President, Prof. Jasminka Laznjak, sociologist from Croatia and vice. President Prof. Surgio Baltatescu, sociologist from Romania.
