Two FFT students participated in “Third Croatian Nutrition Risk Assessment Conference”
Two students of the Faculty of Food Technology (FTU), Arbnora Durmishaj and Ylberinë Baliu, stayed for a week in Osijek, Croatia, where they attended the “Autumn School”, organized by EFSA and the Croatian Food and Agriculture Agency. This activity was held in the framework of the “Third Croatian Conference on Food Risk Assessment”.
The purpose of the two-day conference was to mark “World Food Day”, with a special focus on the importance of healthy eating. Also discussed were topics related to nutrition assessment as a basis for risk assessment, the benefits of a unified control system, harmonization of data collection, current and trends in risk assessment and communication with consumers.
In addition, they contributed to the workshop entitled “Research on the practical application of risk assessment in the field of food safety”.
Experts from other Balkan countries such as Bosnia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey also participated in the event.
