Rector of the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica (UIBM), prof. dr. Alush Musaj, Dean of the Faculty of Education, prof.ass.dr. Besim Gollopeni and member of the Steering Council, prof. asoc. dr. Valdet Gjinovci, are participating in the workshop “Increasing the Research Culture in Higher Education in Kosovo”, which is being held at the University of Zagreb. In this workshop that is organized within the project “ResearchCult”, are participating leaders and representatives of other institutions of higher education in Kosovo, such as the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, University “Fehmi Agani” in Gjakova, IBC College, etc.

Within the workshop held from November 30 to December 3, 2021, 6 sessions are planned to be held, which address the exchange of partners and progress on the creation of the scientific journal and open access to research platforms. It also discusses the organization of a seminar on the establishment of a scientific journal and guidelines for the development of national standards for scientific journals, rules and practices for academic / scientific titles and promotion, etc.

This project aims to support the strengthening of research culture in higher education institutions in Kosovo by supporting the strengthening of existing policies and practices, as well as the creation of new regulations and mechanisms. The host of this workshop is the rector of the University of Zagreb, prof. dr. Damir Boras.
