University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica (UIBM) is ranked second among public universities in Kosovo in the ranking published by webometrics in January 2022. Among 31 thousand universities from around the world, UIBM is ranked in the ranking. 12,909, marking an increase of 38 places compared to last year.
It has been several years since UIBM continued to rise in this international ranking which is updated twice a year. According to explanations from webometrics, measurement indicators for university ranking are: Web visibility, transparency (most cited researchers) and excellence (most cited works).
Rector of UIBM, prof.dr. Alush Musaj, said that the continuous increase in the ranking of webometrics is an indicator of the good work that is being done in this institution of higher education in Kosovo. “We are extremely encouraged by the assessment, given the importance of the measurement indicators used by webometrics for a university,” he said.
UIBM came in second place in the country in the ranking of webometrics that had as measuring indicator citations based on google schoolar published a few days ago.
