The University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini” (UMIB) has become a regular member of the Balkan Universities Association (BUA) with the right to vote. At the Conference held in Thessaloniki, Greece, for the membership of UMIB unanimously voted all members of BUA.

Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Besart Hajrizi, who represented UMIB at this conference, said that membership in this association facilitates the internationalization of UMIB and enables cooperation in various fields. “Being a member of BUA facilitates the mobility of academic staff and students, enables the organization of the annual BUA conference, and generally facilitates the exchange of experiences of Balkan universities.”

Among the activities during the three days of the Conference was the introduction of UMIB by dean Hajrizi. He spoke about the development and consolidation of the university for a short period of time. During the representative meetings of various Balkan universities, they expressed interest in realizing cooperation agreements with UMIB.
