[vc_row][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text css=””]On May 14, 2024, the students of the Faculty of Education at University Isa Boletini in
\nMitrovica conducted their first study visit for this academic year to the P\u00ebrparimi Resource
\nCenter in Pristina. Under the leadership of Ass Arbesa Uka and the student services officer, Mrs.
\nBlerta Gashi, the students had the opportunity to learn about good and innovative practices in the
\nfield of special education.
\nDirector Mrs. Igballe Asllani Potera led an inspiring lecture to the students, emphasizing the
\nimportance of special education and inclusiveness in the learning process. Her lecture contained
\nimportant information about the IEP plan, the assessment of children with special needs, as well
\nas the most efficient methods of working and teaching with them. An important moment was the
\nmeeting with the Traveling Teachers who remain committed to raising the capacities of
\nteachers who work with children with special needs in the Prishtina region.
\nIn continuation of the visit, the students were introduced to the spaces and resources of the
\nP\u00ebrparimi Resource Center. In this specialized facility, they found classrooms separated by age
\nand class cycle, an amphitheater, day stays for students, work cabinets, a teachers room, a
\ngymnastics and fitness room, as well as services such as a psychologist, and a music therapy
\nroom. Among other things, the reading spaces and the kitchen with a restaurant offered suitable
\nfacilities for the needs of the students.
\nThe importance of knowing the principles of special education and inclusiveness was
\nemphasized during the visit for future primary and preschool students. In a society where<\/p>\n

diversity is a deep value, knowing these principles makes future educators ready to face
\nchallenges and create an appropriate learning environment for all students.
\nFinally, the students of the Faculty of Education would like to thank the staff and management of
\nthe P\u00ebrparimi Resource Center for their outstanding work in the field of special education and
\nthe management of FEdu, UIBM for the opportunity. The visit was a fruitful and inspiring
\nexperience for all participants, adding value to their journey towards a better and more inclusive
