[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Students of the Faculty of Economics \u2013 UIBM, have conducted a study visit to the CBK, one of the main institutions of the financial system in our country. This visit was an extraordinary opportunity for the students to be informed directly about the extraordinary work that the CBK does to regulate the financial system in our country.<\/p>\n

During the visit, the students were accompanied by the Vice-Dean for Teaching and Quality Development in FE Prof.ass.dr.EDBA. Filloreta Kunoviku Demiri, the Vice-Dean for Scientific Research and International Cooperation Prof.ass.dr. Esat Durguti and Prof. Bes\u00eb Sadikaj.<\/p>\n

During this visit, students had the opportunity to be informed about the CBK\u2019s main functions as the country\u2019s main financial sector regulator, with a particular focus on the regulation and supervision of the insurance and pension sectors, as well as the management of financial and operational risks, through presentations by leaders from the Pensions Division, the Operational Risk and Business Continuity Division, and the Financial Risk Division.<\/p>\n

During the session, students actively engaged in discussions and posed questions related to the topics presented.<\/p>\n

This visit served as a valuable opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of the CBK\u2019s operations and the financial system of Kosovo, fostering their interest in professional development in this field and on regulatory, monitoring, and supervisory processes of the insurance, pension, and investment sectors, emphasizing the CBK\u2019s role as the key regulatory authority of the financial sector in the country.<\/p>\n

During the visit, the Financial Education Division informed the students about the new Platform for comparing financial products and services, which aims to assist consumers in informing and comparing interest rates and fees for the most commonly used products and services offered by financial institutions, thereby contributing to increased transparency, consumer protection, financial education, and advancing financial access.<\/p>\n

Students were also informed about the \u201cYoung Economist Award\u201d competition \u2014 a CBK initiative to promote scientific research in the field of economics and finance. They were also informed about the possibility of participating in the CBK\u2019s internship program, which allows students to gain professional experience and develop practical skills in the fields of economics and finance by assisting students in connecting academic knowledge with practical experience, thereby equipping them with the competencies required for their careers.<\/p>\n

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof.Assoc.Dr. Qazim Tmava, expresses his sincere gratitude to the management of the CBK for their warm hospitality and willingness to cooperate for the benefit of future generations.<\/p>\n
