Yee<\/strong> from Drake University School of Law in the United States has been selected to receive a prestigious <strong>Fulbright Specialist Award<\/strong> to lead a major development project within the UIBM Faculty of Law. Supported by the U.S. Department of State, the Fulbright Specialist Program fosters knowledge exchange, capacity building, and long-term academic partnerships worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>The project, titled <strong>\u201cInternationalizing UIBM\u2019s Legal Curriculum for Impact,\u201d<\/strong> aims to modernize and internationalize the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) curriculum in alignment with European and global standards. Its core objectives include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>integrating international and comparative legal content across core and elective courses;<\/li>\n<li>strengthening faculty capabilities in modern and hybrid teaching methodologies;<\/li>\n<li>revising selected syllabi and creating a model internationalized course;<\/li>\n<li>establishing sustainable academic resources to support accreditation and long-term curriculum enhancement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Prof. Ellen L. Yee is Professor of Law and Director of International Programs at Drake University Law School. She has extensive international experience developing and leading legal education programs across multiple regions of the world. Her expertise includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>international and transnational law,<\/li>\n<li>legal ethics and professional responsibility,<\/li>\n<li>curriculum design and academic reform,<\/li>\n<li>international academic partnerships and exchanges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The project is coordinated by <strong>Prof.ass.dr. Zahir \u00c7erkini<\/strong>, who designed the proposal, led the application, and will oversee all implementation phases at UIBM. He emphasizes the strategic importance of the initiative:<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>This project represents a transformative opportunity for the Faculty of Law. Professor Yee\u2019s engagement will significantly enhance our curriculum, teaching quality, and international visibility.
