The full-day training was facilitated by Prof.dr. Esat Durguti<\/strong> and brought together participants for an intensive and highly interactive learning experience focused on strengthening financial management and investment preparedness skills for early-stage and growing businesses.<\/p>\n

The programme started with participant registration and an energizing activity, followed by the presentation of the training objectives and expected learning outcomes.
\nDuring the first session, participants explored the role and importance of financial planning, business classification in line with the applicable legal framework in Kosovo, identification and classification of costs, as well as practical approaches to structuring business expenses. The session was complemented by group work on financial planning and cost identification, enabling participants to apply the concepts directly to their own business ideas.<\/p>\n

The mid-day activities focused on cost structuring, calculation of unit costs, and the break-even point, supported by both group and individual exercises aimed at strengthening participants\u2019 practical financial decision-making skills.<\/p>\n

In the afternoon session, the training addressed financial records and financial forecasting, including legal obligations and reporting to the Tax Administration of Kosovo<\/strong>, bookkeeping requirements, the importance of cash flow for business sustainability, and forecasting of revenues and expenditures. Special attention was given to investment readiness, financial documentation, transparency, credibility, and the preparation of businesses for engagement with potential investors.<\/p>\n

The final group activity introduced participants to key financial statements, including the income and expense statement, statement of financial position, and cash flow statement. The day concluded with a summary of the main lessons learned, practical recommendations, and reflections on how the acquired knowledge can support sustainable business growth and investment readiness.<\/p>\n

The successful delivery of this module significantly contributed to strengthening participants\u2019 financial literacy and their capacity to plan, manage, and present their businesses in a structured and investment-oriented manner.<\/p>\n

This training module was delivered within the EmpowerHER<\/strong> project and was financed by the SHER initiative<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
