{"id":65495,"date":"2026-05-25T14:30:52","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T14:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umib.net\/?p=65495"},"modified":"2026-06-19T14:32:26","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T14:32:26","slug":"today-the-university-isa-boletini-in-mitrovica-held-the-closing-roundtable-of-the-empowerher-bridging-gender-equality-mental-health-and-entrepreneurship-for-female-studen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umib.net\/en\/today-the-university-isa-boletini-in-mitrovica-held-the-closing-roundtable-of-the-empowerher-bridging-gender-equality-mental-health-and-entrepreneurship-for-female-studen\/","title":{"rendered":"Today the University \u201cIsa Boletini\u201d in Mitrovica held the closing roundtable of the \u201cEmpowerHER: Bridging Gender Equality, Mental Health, and Entrepreneurship for Female Students\u201d Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, the closing roundtable of the project <strong>\u201cEmpowerHER: Bridging Gender Equality, Mental Health, and Entrepreneurship for Female Students\u201d<\/strong> was held at the University \u201cIsa Boletini\u201d in Mitrovica, marking the conclusion of an important initiative dedicated to women\u2019s empowerment and the development of professional capacities through training and mentoring activities.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims to empower female students by addressing gender inequality, strengthening mental resilience, and equipping them with entrepreneurial skills to support their personal and professional growth.<\/p>\n<p>The event brought together representatives of the <strong>SHER Project<\/strong>, donor of the \u201cEmpowerHER\u201d initiative, Ms. <strong>Donjeta Ibra<\/strong> and Ms. <strong>Fatima Kryeziu<\/strong>, representatives of various institutions, academic and administrative staff of the University \u201cIsa Boletini\u201d in Mitrovica, local and international trainers, as well as students participating in the project.<\/p>\n<p>The roundtable was moderated by the Project Coordinator, <strong>Prof. Ass. Dr. EDBA. Filloreta Kunoviku Demiri<\/strong>, who expressed gratitude to the donor, participants, and the project team, <strong>Prof. Assoc. Dr. Merita Shala<\/strong> and <strong>Erzen Isufi<\/strong>, for their contribution and dedication throughout the implementation of the project.<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of the University \u201cIsa Boletini\u201d in Mitrovica, welcoming remarks were delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, <strong>Prof. Dr. Qazim Tmava<\/strong>, who emphasized the importance of initiatives that contribute to professional development and women\u2019s empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>During the roundtable, participants reflected on the project\u2019s activities and achievements, highlighting the importance of addressing issues related to women\u2019s empowerment and discussing the challenges women continue to face throughout their professional journeys.<\/p>\n<p>A significant contribution to the successful implementation of the project was provided by local and international trainers through six training modules and the mentoring process. Valuable expertise and support were offered by <strong>Prof. Dr. Qazim Tmava, Prof. Dr. Esat Durguti, Prof. Dr. Dritero Arifi, Prof. Dr. Ermira Shehu, Ema Skeja, PhDc, Prof. Dr. Nadine Tournois, and Prof. Dr. Katarina Babnik<\/strong>, whose engagement contributed to the professional and personal development of participating students.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the roundtable, accomplished women professionals shared their experiences and career challenges, inspiring participants through their personal and professional journeys. Contributions were provided by <strong>Ms. Besarta Jashari Loshi<\/strong>, Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo and an outstanding example of a successful woman leader, <strong>Ms. Besana Shehaj<\/strong>, Director of a preschool institution, <strong>Ms. Ema Skeja<\/strong>, Clinical Psychologist and Manager of the Center for Human Services and Development, <strong>Ms. Ardita Fejza<\/strong>, Head of Internal Audit at Scardian Group, and <strong>Ms. Diellza Preteni<\/strong>, former student of the Faculty of Education and now a successful entrepreneur and founder of EDUAKTIV Center.<\/p>\n<p>Important insights were also shared by professors from the University \u201cIsa Boletini\u201d in Mitrovica who participated in the event.<\/p>\n<p>During the activity, participating students reflected on their experiences throughout the training and mentoring processes, emphasizing the positive impact of the project on their personal and professional development.
