Eligible for admission to UMIB are all Kosovo candidates who have successfully completed high school in Kosovo or outside of Kosovo and have a diploma for completed education.
Students from other countries may also be admitted to UMIB under the same conditions as Kosovo candidates.Students from other countries may also be admitted to UMIB under the same criterias as Kosovo candidates.

a) Original birth certificate
b) Identification Document- copy
c) Evidence - A decision by the competent organ on the recognition of the status of the martyr's family
d) Certificates of all high school classes (original or notarized)
e) High school graduation diploma or graduation certificate, if there has been a graduation exam (original or notarized)
f) Certificate of points for subjects gained in the Matura Exam (Faculty candidates only: Faculty of Geosciences, Faculty of Food Technology and Faculty of Mechanical and Computer Engineering)
g) The completed application form is downloaded during the online application form: www.umib.net (apply online)
h) Payment of 2.5 Euro. The form of payment is downloaded and printed from the University of Mitrovica website, and the payment is made to the bank.
i) Decision on recognition of education abroad.

1. The student must submit a request for a change of study program to the study committee of the academic unit where he / she wishes to continue his / her studies.
2. Attached to the application must be evidence of successful completion of the requirements based on the previous study program.
 
3. The study commission determines the individual obligations for changing the study program in accordance with certain rules of the study program.
 
4. The decision to change the study program must be made by the academic unit council on the proposal of the study committee.
5. Appeals against the decision to refuse to change the study program must be made by the student's academic unit council within 8 business days after the decision is published.

Candidates accepted for registration must submit:
1. Completed registration form.
2. Citizens of the Republic of Kosovo who start their studies at the University of Mitrovica have the first year of studies free of charge.
3. The fee for one semester for students who are not citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, will be up to 25 € for full-time study.
