Representatives of the Center for Underground Mining Research and Supervision (ICMMN) from Poland through the Independent Commission for Mines and Minerals (ICMM), have visited the Faculty of Geosciences. Andrzej Kawka, Deputy Director and Evaluation Expert for Mining Supervision, and Joanna Pruchnicka, Public Relations Specialist accompanied by ICMM Board Members Kemajl Zeqiri and Festim Kutllovci, were received by the Dean, prof. dr. Naser Peci and the dean, prof. dr Behxhet Shala.

In the discussions the delegation was informed about the University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini” respectively the Faculty of Geosciences, study programs, faculty collaboration with industry, student practices etc.

The guests at the meeting informed about the Center for Underground Mining Research and Supervision (ICMMN), which provides research, measurement and expertise services to mining companies, as well as enterprises and institutions that are not related to the mining industry but can benefit from the company’s specialized experience.

As part of this activity, a lecture entitled “Professional Supervision in the Mining Safety System in Poland” was held for Geosciences teachers and students. Joanna Pruchnicka. Teachers and students showed great interest in both participation and discussion, questions and comments.
