The University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini” (UMIB) welcomed today Dr. Adnan Imeri, Senior R&T Scientist at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), in a meeting hosted by Prof. Dr. Nurten Deva from the Rectorate of UMIB and Prof. Dr. Faton Merovci.

Prof. Dr. Deva presented UMIB’s mission and vision from a research perspective, underlining the university’s commitment to international partnerships and academic excellence. Dr. Imeri introduced LIST’s expertise in diverse research domains, highlighting ongoing and planned projects within the READY Unit (Cybersecurity Group) from the Information Technology domain, as well as cross-disciplinary initiatives.

Prof. Dr. Merovci shared his extensive research experience, presenting both previous and current projects, with an emphasis on building bridges between UMIB and international research institutions.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to initiate collaboration on joint research opportunities, including projects within LuxAid, EIT Deep Tech Talent Initiative, and the Horizon Europe / Digital Europe programmes.

To further consolidate this partnership, Dr. Imeri and Prof. Dr. Merovci will continue their work this week in a dedicated workshop aimed at preparing a joint project proposal for the next international funding call.

This marks a significant step toward strengthening ties between UMIB and LIST, advancing innovative research, and fostering knowledge exchange at the European level.
