The Faculty of Law Organizes a Lecture on the Integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education and Public Administration
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and to promote the use of modern technologies in teaching and scientific research, the Faculty of Law at the University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini” is actively developing initiatives aimed at connecting legal education with the latest developments in artificial intelligence and the digitalization of public institutions.
In this context, upon the invitation of the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi, a lecture titled “Integration of Generative AI in Higher Education and Public Administration: Opportunities and Challenges” was held on November 3, 2025, at the premises of the Faculty of Law.
The lecture was delivered by Dhurata Prokshi, a PhD candidate in Organizational Sociology at the Institute for Sociological and Political-Legal Research, University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, who shared her experience gained at the University of Warsaw through the Western Balkans–Visegrad Fellowship program.
The event aimed to follow the most advanced trends in quality assurance in education, by emphasizing the role of artificial intelligence and information technology in academia. The lecture addressed the role of generative AI and large language models (LLMs) in the digital transformation of public and academic institutions, highlighting their potential to improve efficiency in research and administrative processes. Ethical challenges related to the use of such technologies in the context of education and public administration in Kosovo were also discussed.
The lecture was attended with great interest by students and academic staff, turning into an interactive and fruitful discussion. In conclusion, participants emphasized that the lecture provided valuable insights for improving the quality of higher education and underlined the need for further training sessions on contemporary topics related to artificial intelligence and innovation in the public sector.
After the open lecture, Dean Qerimi and Ms. Prokshi agreed to continue this collaboration in the future through concrete projects in the field of artificial intelligence and its application in higher education.
