he “Isa Boletini” University of Mitrovica (UIBM) will cooperate with the Association of People with Disabilities of Mitrovica, “Handikos Mitrovica,” to coordinate joint activities and promote the efforts of both institutions in advancing issues of mutual interest. To specify the key areas of cooperation, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed on Tuesday by the Rector of UIBM, Prof. Dr. Nurten Deva, and the Director of “Handikos Kosova,” Myrvete Hasani.

Among the identified areas of cooperation mentioned in the Memorandum are: coordination of activities aimed at addressing current issues related to the advancement of academic and professional life through practical work at “Handikos Mitrovica” for UIBM students, mutual technical and organizational support, and the implementation of various forms of cooperation in line with shared interests and goals. The cooperation will also extend to joint volunteer activities, applications for joint projects related to disability inclusion, and other related initiatives.

Rector Deva, who was accompanied at the meeting by the Vice-Rector for Academic Development and Quality, Prof. Dr. Sabri Avdullahi, and the Vice-Rector for Research and Scientific Studies, Assist. Prof. Dr. Bahtir Hyseni, expressed her support for the work of “Handikos Kosova.” She emphasized that UIBM has developed an infrastructure suitable for people with disabilities to facilitate accessibility within the university.

The Director of “Handikos Kosova,” Myrvete Hasani, thanked Rector Deva for her support and for creating opportunities for this important social group.
