Cooperation Memorandum with the Institute for Cooperation and Development in France
The “Isa Boletini” University of Mitrovica (UIBM) will cooperate with the Institute for Cooperation and Development in France (Institut de Coopération et Développement) with the aim of promoting academic, educational, and cultural collaboration between the two institutions. To specify the areas of cooperation, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed on Monday by the Rector of UIBM, Prof. Dr. Nurten Deva, and the President of the Institute, Tahir Shabani.
Among the key points outlined in the Memorandum is the creation of opportunities for networking and reciprocal exchange of lecturers, researchers, students, and other staff for lectures, visits, and experience sharing with various Francophone universities from France, Switzerland, and other parts of Europe. Another aspect includes joint participation and applications for specific funding related to education, research, and other artistic and cultural activities.
The Memorandum also includes additional areas of cooperation such as joint educational, training, or research activities; the joint organization of conferences, symposia, congresses, seminars, courses, summer schools, and other forms of collaboration of mutual interest; as well as the exchange of information in fields beneficial to both parties. However, the document also emphasizes that the cooperation will not be limited only to these areas.
Both parties considered the signing of this Memorandum of Cooperation to be of great importance. Rector Deva, who was accompanied at the meeting by the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Projects, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Edita Bekteshi, and the Vice-Rector for Academic Development and Quality, Prof. Dr. Sabri Avdullahi, thanked President Shabani for the opportunities offered, which will open new paths for academic staff and students. Meanwhile, President Shabani praised the professional approach and willingness for cooperation shown by UIBM’s leadership.
