UIBM Faculty of Law Initiates the Preparation of the Self-Evaluation Report for Programme Re-Accreditation

The Faculty of Law at UIBM has officially initiated the process of preparing the Self-Evaluation Report (SER) for the re-accreditation of the Bachelor of Law (LLB) study programme, 240 ECTS. Following the establishment of the Working Group responsible for drafting the report, the first working meeting was held today under the chairmanship of the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Head of the Working Group, Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi.
The meeting of the Commission for the preparation of the SER commenced at 13:00, during which Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi expressed his appreciation to the members for their participation and commitment, with special thanks extended to the representative of the stakeholders, Mr. Nebi Halili. On this occasion, he informed the members about the ongoing activities of the Faculty of Law, including post-accreditation processes and procedures of the study programme, as evaluated by external experts during 2025.
Furthermore, the Chair presented the working methodology, organizational structure, and allocation of responsibilities for the preparation of the Self-Evaluation Report, emphasizing that the document must be fully aligned with the Institutional Self-Evaluation Report.
During the discussions, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Përparim Gruda proposed that the SER be drafted through a combined approach, integrating collaborative work with individual contributions of the Commission members. By unanimous agreement, Prof. Ass. Dr. Zahir Çerkini was appointed as the coordinator of the SER drafting process.
Prof. Ass. Dr. Zahir Çerkini highlighted the importance of aligning the Self-Evaluation Report with the new re-accreditation standards and proposed that the process proceed with a review of the timeline, an analysis of the study programme curriculum, the development of an improvement plan, as well as an assessment of the implementation of recommendations issued by external experts and the monitoring of post-accreditation procedures for 2025.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the proposal to hold the next meeting of the Working Group on Monday was unanimously approved, with the aim of ensuring continued coordination and advancement of the Self-Evaluation Report preparation process.
