Representatives of the management of “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica participated in the 2026 EUA Funding Forum, organised by the European University Association (EUA) and held on 15–16 October 2026 in Brno, Czechia, hosted by Brno University of Technology.

This year’s forum, held under the theme “A University of Value,” brought together representatives of higher education institutions, university leaders, education policy experts and funding organisations to discuss the financial sustainability of universities, funding models and the role of higher education in social and economic development.

The forum addressed several strategic issues relevant to higher education institutions, including the diversification of funding sources, data-driven decision-making, the development of international partnerships, support for research and innovation, and the strengthening of institutional capacities in response to emerging financial and organisational challenges.

Particular attention was given to cooperation among European universities and the importance of establishing sustainable partnerships that contribute to academic development, quality enhancement and the strengthening of universities’ role in society.

The participation of the management of the UIBM in this forum provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and gain insights into European practices in university governance and higher education funding. The discussions and experiences shared during the event also offered valuable perspectives on exploring new cooperation opportunities and advancing the University’s strategic development.
