On 13 October 2026, the final consortium meeting of the LEADALKO project – “Leadership Capacities Development in Higher Education across Albania and Kosovo” was held at Western Balkans University in Tirana, Albania, bringing together representatives of partner institutions from Kosovo, Albania, Slovenia, and Malta.
The University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica (UIBM) was represented by Prof.assoc.dr. Filloreta Kunoviku Demiri, the current project coordinator for UIBM, as well as Burim Hasani, Director of Budget and Finance at UIBM. Prof.assoc.dr. Merita Shala also attended the meeting in her capacity as the former project coordinator for UIBM. During the meeting, the partners reviewed the outcomes of the project’s Final Conference, the final version of Deliverable No. 9 – Leadership Development Programme Handbook, and the draft final project report. Discussions also focused on financial reporting, the completion of outstanding documentation, the external evaluator’s quality assurance report, and the remaining steps required for the successful conclusion of the project.

UIBM’s participation reaffirms the university’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation, developing leadership capacities, and advancing institutional governance in higher education across Kosovo and Albania.
