During the period 2–7 February 2026, Professor Ajtene Avdullahi from the Faculty of Economics was hosted by the Faculty of Economics at the University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi” within the framework of a MOVE Grant research mobility, supported by the Western Balkans Fund (WBF).

During this academic visit, Professor Avdullahi held official meetings with the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and academic staff, where discussions focused on strengthening institutional cooperation, renewing and activating the agreement between the two universities, as well as expanding collaboration in the field of scientific research.

Within the framework of professional meetings, experiences were exchanged regarding ongoing research projects, and concrete opportunities for future cooperation in regional and European initiatives were identified.

An important part of the mobility was dedicated to field research activities, carried out in collaboration with Dr. Brikene Dionizi, including conducting interviews and collecting empirical data for the respective project.

In addition, perspectives for joint applications to COST calls, in which both colleagues are active members, were discussed, along with opportunities to expand cooperation within and beyond European scientific research networks.

This academic mobility represents an important step toward strengthening inter-institutional partnerships and increasing internationalization.
