Today, the Faculty of Law at the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica (UIBM) officially marked the beginning of the Fulbright Specialist project with the arrival of Prof. Dr. Ellen L. Yee, Professor of Law and Director of International Programs at Drake University Law School, USA.

Dr. Yee was formally welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi, together with members of the faculty management and academic staff. The meeting focused on the shared objectives of the project, strategic priorities, and the framework for academic cooperation during the implementation period.

The project entitled “Internationalizing UIBM’s Legal Curriculum for Impact”, supported by the Fulbright Specialist Program, aims to modernize and internationalize the Bachelor’s program in Law by aligning it with European and international standards. Key objectives include integrating international and comparative legal perspectives into existing syllabi, strengthening academic staff capacities, and fostering sustainable international institutional partnerships.

Dean Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi emphasized the significance of this project for the Faculty of Law, highlighting Dr. Yee’s contribution to enhancing academic quality and strengthening the global preparation of students.

During her stay at UIBM, Dr. Ellen L. Yee will conduct trainings, workshops, individual consultations, and other academic activities in close collaboration with the academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Law.
