At the invitation of the Dean of the Faculty of Law at UIBM and the professor of the Criminalistics course, Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi, an open lecture was delivered by forensic expert Dr. Sc. Milazim Tahiruka on the topic: “Graphological Analysis and Identification of Signatures and Handwriting – Impact on the Justice System.”

This lecture provided students with a valuable opportunity to deepen their knowledge in one of the most important fields of documentary forensic expertise. Through a combined theoretical and practical approach, Dr. Tahiruka highlighted the significance of graphological analysis as a key tool for identifying authorship and verifying the authenticity of documents in judicial proceedings.

Drawing on his extensive experience as a forensic expert, Dr. Tahiruka explained that every individual possesses a unique handwriting style, characterized by distinctive features such as letter shapes, pressure on paper, writing rhythm, and the connections between letters. These characteristics, which are relatively stable and difficult to imitate, form the basis for detecting forgeries and identifying the author.

The lecture also covered practical methods used in forensic analysis, including microscopic examination of documents, analysis of writing lines, and individual graphical elements. Special attention was given to the influence of various factors—such as emotional state, age, and health condition—on handwriting variations, making the analytical process more complex and requiring high professional expertise.

As an expert with significant experience in judicial cases, Dr. Tahiruka shared practical examples and real-life experiences with students, demonstrating the importance of this field in resolving criminal and civil matters, including document forgery, financial fraud, and contractual disputes. He emphasized that graphological expert reports constitute substantial evidence in court decisions and must always be based on scientific methods and international standards.

In addition to his practical engagement, Dr. Tahiruka is recognized for his continuous contribution to advancing professional knowledge through lectures and academic collaborations, sharing his experience with the new generations of legal professionals.
