Prof. Ass. Bahtir Hyseni, faculty member at the Faculty of Food Technology of “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica (UIBM), conducted a study visit at the University of Milan, Italy, within the framework of the project NanoKos, coordinated by the University of Prishtina.

During this visit, Prof. Hyseni completed advanced training on the use of the analytical instrument GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry), under the supervision of Prof. Assoc. Giangiacomo Beretta. In addition, during his stay, he performed the analysis of a set of coffee samples as part of the scientific project “Coffee Beans 2.0: Food Safety and Improvement of Coffee Quality and Sensory Parameters through Fermentation.”

As part of this visit, Prof. Hyseni also held meetings with colleagues from the Faculty of Agriculture, specifically from the Department of Food, Environmental and Nutritional Sciences, where he was welcomed by Prof. Assoc. Alessandra Marti. The discussions focused on exploring future opportunities for academic and research collaboration, including potential agreements under the Erasmus+ programme, with the aim of facilitating staff and student exchanges and the development of joint research projects.

This activity represents an important step in strengthening the international collaborations of UIBM and in enhancing the research and academic capacities of its staff.
