Public Lecture within the International Law Course
As part of the lectures for the International Law course, taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Besnik Murati, at the Faculty of Law of “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica (UIBM), Mr. Tahir Shabani, President of the Institute for Cooperation and Development in Geneva, Switzerland, as well as Ambassador and Leader for World Peace, delivered an invited public lecture at the invitation of the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi.
The lecture addressed issues of particular importance to contemporary diplomacy and international relations, with a special emphasis on international diplomacy, the values and diplomatic traditions of the French Republic, university cooperation within the Francophone area, and the role of diplomatic lobbying at the United Nations and other international organizations headquartered in Geneva.
Through this lecture, students had the opportunity to deepen their theoretical knowledge and gain closer insight into the practical dimensions of diplomacy, international representation, and institutional cooperation. Addressing these topics contributes to bridging the academic content of International Law with the developments and practices of contemporary diplomacy.
Such activities provide added value to the university learning process by fostering critical thinking, academic dialogue, and the exchange of professional experiences, thereby contributing to preparing students for future challenges in the fields of law and international relations.
The Faculty of Law at “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica expresses its gratitude to Mr. Tahir Shabani for his academic and professional contribution, as well as to Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi and Prof. Besnik Murati for their commitment to promoting academic cooperation and enriching the students’ learning experience. Collaboration between the university and professionals in the field remains an essential element in advancing the quality of legal education and molding legal professionals with an international perspective.
