At the meeting held on Thursday at the “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica, the new leadership structures of the “Alumni” association were elected for a two-year term. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dafina Llugaxhiu was elected president, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ujmir Uka, vice president, and Erzen Isufi, secretary of the “Alumni” association. Members of the “Alumni” will be: Shpresa Musa, Diellza Preteni, Arbesa Uka, Suzana Halilaj, Florina Thaçi and Drilon Bajgora.

The newly elected chairperson of the “Alumni” association, prof.ass.dr. Dafina Llugaxhiu, thanked the attendees for their trust and expressed her belief that with good cooperation they will be able to do good work. “We need support and cooperation from the management, academic units and students to dynamize the activity of the “Alumni” association,” she said.

The Rector, Prof. Dr. Nurten Deva, who was present at the first part of the meeting together with the Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Sabri Avdullahi, wished success to the leaders of “Alumni” and pledged unreserved support for the work of this association. “UIBM already has an extraordinary team of alumni students, who have become true ambassadors of our institution both at home and abroad,” said Deva.

The meeting also discussed the preparation of the work plan for 2026, which will be presented at the next meeting with the proposals that will be made in the meantime.
