Representatives from the University Isa Boletini in Mitrovica (UIBM) including Prof.assoc.dr. Merita Shala – Project Coordinator, Prof.dr. Sabri Avdullahi – Vice Rector for Quality and Academic Development, Prof.ass.dr. Filloreta Kunoviku Demiri – Vice Dean for Teaching and Quality Development at the Faculty of Economics, Prof.ass.dr. Zahir Çerkini, Burim Hasani – Director for Finance and Budget UIBM and Zymber Haliti – IT office, are participating in the Final Meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Improving University Quality Assurance Resilient Strategies Toward Excellence – QA-SURE”, held on 27–28 October 2025 at the Western Balkans University (WBU) in Tirana, Albania.

The event brings together all partner institutions from the Western Balkans and the EU to present the final outcomes of the project, reflect on the achievements, and discuss sustainability strategies for the quality assurance mechanisms developed throughout the implementation phase.

During the first day of the event, on behalf of UIBM Prof.assoc.dr. Merita Shala presented its institutional results and good practices developed through the QA-SURE project, contributing to strengthening internal quality assurance systems and enhancing university excellence. The session also included presentations from other partner universities in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Slovenia.

The second day focuses on final steering and quality assurance committee meetings, as well as financial reporting, preparation of final deliverables, and discussions on future collaborations among consortium members.

The QA-SURE project, coordinated by Western Balkans University (WBU), aims to enhance higher education quality assurance systems through resilient and sustainable institutional practices. The consortium includes Luarasi University, Polis University, International Business College Mitrovica (IBC-M), University Isa Boletini Mitrovica (UIBM), International School for Social and Business Studies (ISSBS), and South East European University (SEEU).

Participation of UIBM in this final event reaffirms its commitment to continuous quality enhancement and active engagement in European cooperation projects that support institutional development and regional collaboration in higher education.
