Following the successful completion of the project entitled “Internationalizing UIBM’s Legal Curriculum for Impact,” the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica, Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi, in honor of Professor Ellen Yee, together with the Vice-Rector for Quality Assurance at the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica, Prof. Dr. Sabri Avdullahi, and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Zahir Çerkini, paid an official visit to the Trepça Museum.

The delegation was welcomed by the Director of the Museum, Mr. Fidaim Sahiti, who presented the history of the Trepça Mine, the types of minerals extracted from this mining complex, and their importance for economic development and the well-being of the people and the state of Kosovo. Professor Ellen Yee was introduced firsthand to the industrial, cultural, and economic values of this important national heritage.

Following the visit, Dean Islam Qerimi hosted a welcoming luncheon, during which discussions were held on future cooperation opportunities between Kosovar and American academic institutions, with a focus on advancing teaching, scientific research, and academic exchanges.

At the conclusion of this agenda, Dean Qerimi presented certificates of appreciation to the project leaders, Professor Ellen Yee and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Zahir Çerkini, in the presence of the Vice-Dean for Quality and International Relations, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Arbnor Ajeti, the President of the Student Parliament of the Faculty of Law, Ms. Liridiona Salihu, as well as a group of students.

On this occasion, Dean Islam Qerimi expressed his gratitude to Professor Yee and Professor Çerkini for their outstanding contribution and dedication to academic and institutional activities with the Faculty of Law, significantly contributing to curriculum internationalization, Legal English capacity building, and the professional development of academic staff.
