A group of students from the Faculty of Law, accompanied by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Islam Qerimi, conducted a study visit to the Correctional Center in Smrekonica. They were welcomed by the Director of the Center, Mr. Avni Miftari.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to gain practical knowledge about the functioning of correctional institutions, in connection with the subjects they are currently studying, such as Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Criminology, and Victimology.

The Director of the Correctional Center in Smrekonica, Mr. Avni Miftari, spoke about the institution’s mission, emphasizing its focus on the rehabilitation and reintegration of convicted individuals into society in the most effective way possible.

On behalf of the Faculty of Law, Dean Qerimi expressed his gratitude to the Center’s management for their hospitality and for providing students with this valuable and rewarding experience, which contributes to their professional development. He also expressed hope that this cooperation will continue and deepen through joint activities such as open lectures, scientific roundtables, and other study visits.
