Within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, the Faculty of Food Technology had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Dr. Recep Liman from Uşak University, who carried out an academic mobility during the period 18–22 May 2026. As part of this visit, the faculty also welcomed Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Hakkı Çigerci from Afyon Kocatepe University as an academic visitor.

During their visit, Prof. Dr. Recep Liman and Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Hakkı Çigerci were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Mensur Kelmendi, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Projects, Prof. assoc. dr. Edita Bekteshi, Prof. ass. dr. Arbër Hyseni, and Prof. ass. dr. Dafina Llugaxhiu, where discussions focused on strengthening interinstitutional cooperation, exchange of academic experiences, and enhancement of partnerships within international projects.

As part of the visit, the professors toured the laboratories of the Faculty of Food Technology and met with students who had previously participated in mobility activities at Uşak University, sharing academic and professional experiences.

They also participated in the Business Fair, where students and other attendees had the opportunity to become familiar with the products and activities of participating companies, many of which were represented by alumni of the University “Isa Boletini” in Mitrovica.

Within the framework of this mobility, Prof. Dr. Recep Liman delivered a professional lecture entitled: “Cyto-genotoxicity of nanoparticles in Allium cepa”, which attracted significant interest from academic staff and students. During the lecture, he presented contemporary scientific approaches and research findings regarding the cytogenotoxic effects of nanoparticles in biological organisms, emphasizing the importance of toxicological methods in modern scientific research.
